The Beijing Municipal Tax Service announced that the first online departure tax refund store in China has officially been launched in Beijing, and the first batch of centralized departure tax refund points for the hotel industry have been set up simultaneously. After making purchases online, overseas tourists can directly complete tax refund procedures at their hotels, with the tax refund credited in real time, eliminating the need to go to the airport or designated store counters. Currently, Beijing has formed a service network consisting of 7 centralized citywide refund points, 51 “immediate tax refund” stores, and over 1,600 departure tax refund stores covering core business districts.
